It looks like we are going to move out of Tübingen and back to our home country. As of this summer we have planned to move back to the Netherlands. On the one hand a pity to leave this beautiful area of Baden-Würtemberg on the other hand we look forward to find a nice new place in the Netherlands and have a chance to see the family more often. After almost 10 years of living abroad it must be interesting to experience the changes first hand. The move is exciting in many ways since Cees is going to start a new office of frog design in Amsterdam and Anne is likely going to pick up her architecture practice with the same group of people she worked with in the past. For the kids it will be a challenge, the school program in Germany ends by the end of July, while the new school year in the NL starts as early as mid-august. So very little time for moving and almost none for a summer break is on the horizon. Now we first need to put the house for sale and find a new place in the NL, probably somewhere south of the city of Amsterdam.

Already April and still snow. Not a reason to stay indoors.
Of course we have to keep up with some geocacher friends. So we went out in cold and winterly weather. Yep, we got a “five star first to find”, after serious research work and hit the 200-caches mark.
Also a peak from the ‘Osterhase-theater’ from Inger, Sally and Anna. Inger, Nienke Anna, Anouk and Laura organized a jumping race, which was a lot of fun!

Nienke gaat even op de zolder kijken. Ja daar wil ik wel logeren oma!
De bouw in Aalsmeer vordert gestaag. Hier weer een serie foto’s  van de bouw van Oma en Opa’s nieuwe huis. 

Dit jaar carnaval in de sneeuw. Lekker een week geskied in Oostenrijk. Inger en Nienke hebben een paar ochtenden les gehad in het groepje bij Günther (ja, dat gaat nog steeds via de welbekende Lothar) ”Das hat richtig spass gemacht.”
Met de duimen omhoog door de bocht……  zo leer je je evenwicht goed te gebruiken. Ook hebben ze geleerd samen op een ankerlift naar boven te gaan. De Gästerennen wilde ze toen natuurlijk ook meedoen en waren niet onfortuinlijk (1e en 4e). We kunnen nu ook met z’n viertjes op pad en zijn zelfs een keer helemaal naar het dorp geskied. Door het koude weer voor de kerst lag het werk even stil, maar nu gaat het heel vlot.
Kozijnen gesteld en binnenwanden zijn gemetseld. Inger komt eens even kijken of het allemaal goed gaat.
De eerste verdiepingsvloer ligt er inmiddels ook en van de week komt de houtskeletbouw. Je kunt de watertoren zien!

Weekend skien Bödele- Schwarzenberg.

Inky’s first movie project. This morning we were looking at some Lego stop-motion videos and Inger got all excited to create one herself. So we put up all the PlayMobil on the floor, connected the webcam, downloaded a nice shareware tool to capture and sequence stills and with some help from Nienke we put together our first short: “Vakantie op de Ponyhof”. Ja, het is nu echt van start gegaan. Eerst is het terrein bouwrijp gemaakt, de kersenboom verplaatst, daarna kon het plan uitgezet worden. De volgende dag arriveerde een enorme heimachine, die toch wat zwaar was voor de zachte zwarte aarde in Aalsmeer, maar met de nodige platen kon die toch op de goeie plaats komen.
Nienke mocht de ‘eerste paal’ slaan. Dat was spannend hoor!
Inmiddels zit de fundering erin en zijn de eerste contouren langzaam te zien.
