Ja, het is nu echt van start gegaan. Eerst is het terrein bouwrijp gemaakt, de kersenboom verplaatst, daarna kon het plan uitgezet worden. De volgende dag arriveerde een enorme heimachine, die toch wat zwaar was voor de zachte zwarte aarde in Aalsmeer, maar met de nodige platen kon die toch op de goeie plaats komen.
Nienke mocht de ‘eerste paal’ slaan. Dat was spannend hoor!
Inmiddels zit de fundering erin en zijn de eerste contouren langzaam te zien.

Wat een grote meid.
Toevallig was dit jaar ook het ‘Laternenfest’ van de Kindergarten op de 6e November. Een drukke dag dus. s’ Morgens vroeg eerst pakjes uitpakken, nog een beetje slaperig. Dan op naar de Kindi met egels en kabouters. Mmmm, dat was lekker…
Een paar dagen later Nienke’s partijtje. Deze keer hebben we een ‘Schatzsuche’ in huis gedaan, met een puzzel, veel ‘basteln’ en niet te vergeten koekhappen en ‘topfschlagen’. Het was feest!  Fotos kun je hier zien

Where did this come from? Found this video we captured long time ago at Microsoft. The intent was to capture an ordinary creative day like any other in the MSX studio. However, it may prove to contain historical value as this video depicts a significant moment in the Windows Vista UI design process. As becomes clear the team at the time was way ahead of the curve.

We already got the first snow, but it’s still Autumn. Here some pictures from the last couple of weeks. Hiking in Schönbuch, Inger’s Herbstfest in Hort, Laternenfest, zigzagging the ‘Mais-labyrinth’ in Kiebingen and of course one of the traditions we took with us from the US, pumpkin carving and Halloween. Also, Inger tried out the more then 100 year old Singer machine and she got it going again! More pictures here

It took a while but finally we created our own first geocache. It’s actually a cache that came out of another we found a while ago. The mission of the ‘Schmetterlinge’ series is to find new places for a series of micros that could be taken from the mother-cache. Anne found a nice small lake in the area of the ‘Märchenwald’ (fairy tale forest) and Cees took a piece of tree to create a nice little wooden container for the film cannister. Read more »

After a couple weeks delay we celebrated Inger’s birthday party. After completing the birthday ritual at home we went to the forest for some outdoor fun. Starting with a real mulit-stage geocache we ended up at a nice place in the forest for a ‘grillfest’ with ‘Wurst’ and Smores in the forest. The kids hat lots of fun playing some old fashioned dutch games - like egg running - until it got dark. Pictures are here.
